#11 — Hot Milk

Hot Milk by Deborah Levy
Rating: 4/5
  • An English woman takes her mother to a doctor in Spain as she has a mysterious ailment that all other doctors could not cure
  • It is very poetically written; when reading, you are totally engrossed.  Every sentence is infused with meaning, every word carefully chosen. When you are finished, you can’t really pinpoint why it was so great, it’s like a dream that you immediately forget once you wake up
