#46 — Last Night in Montreal

Last Night in Montreal by Emily St. John Mandel
Rating: 4/5
  • A child is abducted by their father and lives a vagabond life; the child grows up to continue the vagabond life. The tension throughout the book is not knowing why she was abducted
  • It doesn’t end as tidily or happily as other books of this type do, which was refreshing
  • The book is very different from Station Eleven but the writing style is undeniably the same
