#41 — Ready Player One

Ready Player One by Ernest Cline
Rating: 4/5
  • A good book if you like any of these things: computers, gaming, 1980s pop culture, Dungeons and Dragons, JRR Tolkien — he’s similar to Quenten Tarantino in his obsessive knowledge about very specific topics
  • While I’m not really into any of those things (minus a love of the 1980s), I still could follow, although many of the references were probably lost on me
  • Regardless of all the nerding and cheesy plot, it’s a page-turner
