Dough

Where: 14 West 19th Street, NYC (between 5th and 6th Avenue)
  • I first visited Dough many years ago at Brooklyn Flea, but this is the first time I’ve been in one of their stores
  • The register is in the middle of two large glass cases that are full of doughnuts, so it is very unclear how the lines work
  • For $3 you get a big, messy doughnut covered in delicious goo — you feel like an idiot eating it with a knife and fork, but it is somewhat necessary
  • Hibiscus, passion fruit, salted chocolate caramel, and lemon ginger are all good choices. The chocolate earl grey is a good idea in theory, but you can’t taste the earl grey in it at all
