#12 — Jack

Jack by A.M. Homes
Rating: 4/5
  • This is A.M. Homes’s first book, and compared to her other works, the least shocking
  • That being said, it’s a gutsy book to write during the time it was written in; for me, it was an accurate portrayal of the attitudes people had in the 1980s about people who were gay (at least it was true in the case of my personal experience growing up in suburban Ohio in the 80s and 90s!
