#8 — Voices from Chernobyl

Voices from Chernobyl by Svetlana Alexievich

  • Rating: 4/5
  • A post-apocalyptic non-fiction book that reads like fiction — it’s hard to comprehend that those things really happened to people
  • Not surprisingly, there are parallels to this book and Black Rain by Ibuse Masuji, which was about Hiroshima. It makes you think about Fukushima and what they told/are telling residents living near the plant
