Congee Village

Where: 100 Allen Street (between Broome and Delancey)

  • Venue was larger than it looks. Good for groups. It had a weird tropical vibe. I felt like I was in a hut in Hawaii even though it was snowing outside, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing
  • Ate lots of congee: squid with ginger, chicken and abalone, chicken and mushrooms, and frogs. Skip the frog one.
  • Also had sauteed pea shoots and pork tiny-buns. Skip the tiny-buns.
