#5 — Never Let Me Go

Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro

  • Rating: 4/5
  • Couldn’t tell at first if the story is based on the “real” world or a dystopian one — purposeful confusion lead up to a single moment of clarity
  • Although a good book, I also found it lacking — you never get to know anyone fully. Perhaps that is to emphasize the donor/carer role in society, which is to remain somewhat less than human
