#62 — Station Eleven

Station Eleven: A Novel by Emily St. John Mandel

  • Rating: 4/5
  • A book about the swine flu killing most of the world. Interesting to read this during a time when Ebola is constantly in the news
  • A lot of “worst case scenario” books I’ve read end up being a commentary on human nature. This book seems to focus less on relationship-type topics and more on the tangible — there is a lot of pretty prose on the beauty/miraculous existence of every day items that we use and ultimately take for granted.
